Pork Tenderloin Size & Weight

Looking to bulk up your meat supply for an upcoming BBQ event or family dinner? The Costco pork tenderloin makes an excellent choice. Conveniently packed in twos, each package offers two succulent tenderloins, adding up to four pieces of juicy pork in total. On average, the packages weigh around five pounds, making this an economical and easy solution to your meal planning needs. Our test tenderloin tipped the scales at 5.42 lbs.

Do remember, though, that package weights can vary, so make it a point to verify the weight before finalizing your purchase. By finding a weight that aligns with your meal requirements, you’ll ensure you have ample pork to cater to your event or family meal. So, on your next Costco trip, be sure to browse through their pork tenderloin selection. You’ll find it a delectable and effortless choice for your meal preparation.

Pork Tenderloin Price at Costco

The Costco pork loin prices may vary based on the size of the cut that you select. We can use our packaging to calculate cost per pound and for each piece of tenderloin. With a total weight of 5.42lbs, and a total cost of $15.12, we can calculate the prices as follows:

  • Pork Tenderloin Cost / Pound: $2.79 per pound
  • Pork Tenderloin Cost / Tenderloin: $3.78

If you’re really hungry, two people can likely finish off one pork loin. It always seems to disappear way too quickly, but even so, at $3.78 for a two person meal, you can’t really beat that pricing, especially when the pork tenderloin cooks in under 30 minutes.

Freezing Pork Tenderloin

When we purchase the four pack of Costco pork tenderloin – we rarely finish it in one sitting. We typically will cook two pork tenderloins and freeze the second pack. The pork is packed in a way where you can easily cut the packaging in two, without opening it up. We stick it directly into the freezer and save it for our next meal. When shopping at Costco – don’t pass on it because you think it’s too much meat. The price is right and it freezes easily. This is one of our favorites to stock up on. If you’re looking for something a bit more decadent, Costco steak is another great option for buying in bulk.
